A business delegation from Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) witnessed the signing ceremony between Teddy Clinical Research Laboratory based in Wuxi City and Cerba Research, a European leader in specialized clinical pathology, in Belgium on February 2.
The two sides agreed to establish a joint venture to build a high-end medical laboratory with an investment of $100 million in Wuxi International Science Innovation Campus, a part of WND.
Upon completion, the laboratory will become an important hub for the research, development of innovative medicines, vaccines and diagnostic reagents in China. The joining of Cerba will also help the campus to become an industrial cluster at professional and international standards as well as a core part of the global evidence-based medicine ecosystem. It’s also expected to enhance the biomedical supply chain at WND and promote a quality-orientated growth.
