Jiangsu's border inspection agencies recorded 109,000 entries and exits by travelers on 755 international passenger transport services (flights and vessels) during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

Driven by favorable visa policies and innovation in culture and tourism, 9,288 foreign travelers entered the coastal province through its ports during the 8-day holiday, a 23.43% year-on-year increase. Among them, 2,854 travelers entered visa-free, a 4.1-fold rise from the previous year, with South Korea, Japan and Singapore ranking as the top three source countries.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu’s outbound tourism also boomed, with 41,700 mainland residents departing through the province’s ports over the holiday period. Trips by families and elderly people emerged as the main types of outbound tourism. Countries such as Japan and South Korea remained highly popular, while long-haul destinations such as Italy and France saw significant growth.
