Jiangsu stands out nationally for accelerating green transformation and expanding global cooperation. The province has restored coastal ecosystems and biodiversity while fostering new drivers of the marine economy. These efforts help people connect more closely with the ocean and ensure it better serves humanity.
Participants at the forum stressed the importance of building a global consensus on harmony between people and nature. They highlighted the need to create open and mutually beneficial partnerships and work together to protect coastal resources and promote sustainable development.
The forum was co-hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. During the event, the State of World’s Coastal Ecosystemreport and the second batch of International Applications of Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reductions in Coastal Areas were released.
