A series of programs will be hosted to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival in Nanjing, according to a press conference on September 6.

The programs will feature the 8th Nanjing Forest Concert from September 8 to 12 and the 3rd Daqiao Lantern Fair, which will start on September 9 in Xinanli area and run until National Day holiday in October.

Cai Leimin, deputy general manager of Nanjing Tourism Group's Xinanli Historical and Cultural Recreation Zone, said the fair this year will highlight technology and three markets related to folk customs, popular online stores, and legacy of the city.

Deji Plaza, a top shopping destination in Nanjing, lit up a moon design with a diameter of 6 meters on September 6, to celebrate the traditional festival.

Golden Eagle World, another major shopping mall in the city’s Hexi New Town, will put on an amazing light show that features designs of astronauts and rabbits shuttling between the buildings.
