Deputy Voice: Improving community life with enhanced servicesEditor’s Note: On the afternoon of March 5, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, participated in a deliberation with his fellow deputies from the delegation of Jiangsu Province at the third session of the 14th National People's Congress. Six Jiangsu NPC deputies including Zhao Jianjun, Li Xiaona and Ke Jun, spoke at the meeting.

Li Xiaona, director of the Hailian Neighborhood Committee in Haizhou District, Lianyungang City, explained governance for 3,216 households and 7,266 residents. The committee has prioritized direct interaction with residents to address various concerns effectively, from window replacements to lawn mowing, elevator installations, and parking solutions, significantly enhancing the community’s quality of life and wellbeing of locals.
