Wujin National Hi-tech Industrial Zone in Changzhou City kicked off a campaign on Oct 21 to build itself into a leading demonstration zone for intellectual property rights (IPR) protection within three years.

In August 2020, the general offices of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and the Jiangsu Provincial Government jointly released an action plan to encourage IPR protection. Then in this January, the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Administration selected cities, counties and industrial parks at different levels to spearhead the initiative.

Wujin’s industrial zone was recognized as a pilot area for IPR protection by the National Intellectual Property Administration in 2019, the first of its kind in Jiangsu.
