Jiangsu Province reported steady economic growth in the first seven months of 2025, with total retail sales of consumer goods reaching more than 2.74 trillion yuan, up 4.4% year-on-year, according to the provincial statistics bureau.

Consumption trends continued to upgrade, as July sales of household appliances, audiovisual and communications equipment, and smart home devices all posted steady gains.

In the same period, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 7.2% from a year earlier, supported by strong growth in equipment manufacturing, high-tech industries, and digital core product manufacturing. Key drivers included computers, communications, pharmaceuticals, as well as railway, shipbuilding, and aerospace sectors.

The service sector maintained positive momentum. From January to June, revenue of service enterprises above designated size climbed 8.1% year-on-year, with leasing and business services, water conservancy, environmental and public facility management, and resident services leading the way.
