Since its establishment in August 2019, the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone has recorded a cumulative import and export value of 3.17 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of nearly 3%, according to Nanjing Customs.
Over the past six years, the pilot FTZ has accounted for one-tenth of Jiangsu’s total foreign trade, playing a vital role in driving the province’s high-level opening-up.
Currently, nearly 9,400 enterprises are registered with customs in the pilot FTZ, an increase of 1.22 times compared to 2019.
In the first seven months of this year, the zone’s imports and exports rose 17.15% year-on-year.
