Changzhou City in East China’s Jiangsu Province opened Line 2 of its rapid transit system on June 28, bringing the total length of the cross-shaped network to 54 kilometers.
Line 2 is 19.79 km long, with 15 stations, and a one-way journey takes about 35 minutes. The east-west line runs through the city, connecting Zhonglou District, Tianning District and Changzhou Economic Development Zone. The Culture Palace Station is the interchange station with Line 1.
The north-south Line 1 is 34.24 km long with 29 stations, passing through Xinbei, Tianning and Wujin districts. Since its opening on September 21, 2019, Line 1 has been in safe operation for 646 days, transporting more than 50 million passengers.
