Changzhou City has taken the top spot in Jiangsu after more of its international industrial parks won provincial recognition, including China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park and China-German Innovation Industrial Park.
Li Lin, the city’s vice mayor and also secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, said the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park is the first inter-state cooperation platform between the two countries and has led the technology cooperation and transfer drive to China. In partnership with Israel Innovation Authority, the industrial park attracted 39 projects in 2020. The park is home to 126 Israeli wholly-owned and cooperative enterprises specialized in various fields, such as life science and health, intelligent manufacturing, agriculture and environmental protection, and new materials.
Israel is a country known for technological breakthroughs and rapid progress in life science, pharmaceutical and other fields. Changzhou has cooperated with Trendlines Group to set up a Sino-Israeli Life Sciences Joint Laboratory, which provides joint R&D services and facilitate a number of projects. in addition, the online China-Israel Innovation Exchange platform has recorded information of more than 500 projects, among which 35 cooperative projects are already in the stage of development.
The XBOTPARK Changzhou, an innovation center of high-end equipment, was launched in November last year and will serve as an important platform of China-Israel Institute of Industrial Technology. It is the result of cooperation among Prof. Li Zexiang of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Wujin High-tech Zone and other sides.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the center’s goal is to train 1,000 outstanding talents, incubate 80 entrepreneurship teams and introduce 60 start-up companies. The center aims to become a pacesetter in China in the field of high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing innovation.
