The 2020 China-Israel Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest held the final in Changzhou City of Jiangsu Province on November 27.
The event attracted 44 Israeli companies that intend to enter the Chinese market and look for Chinese partners. They are mainly specialized in life sciences, intelligent technology, and agriculture and environmental protection. Nine winners in the preliminary and regional final rounds were picked as finalists.
The nine companies presented their products and services and also answered questions from a Chinese panel of experts and investors in the final held virtually.
The top three winning companies were BiomX, a microbiome company developing customized phage therapies designed to target and destroy harmful bacteria in chronic diseases, Kardome, which aims to provide a solution to end user frustrations with speech recognition and voice command devices, and Hargol FoodTech, a world leader in grasshoppers farming.
The final was organized by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, the Israel Innovation Authority, the Changzhou Municipal People's Government, and the Israel-China Innovation Alliance.
