The 3rd Asia-Oceania Group on Earth Observations (AOGEO) Workshop and the Summit Forum on Geological Big Data for Regional Economic and Social Development took place in Changzhou’s High-tech Zone on October 28.
The event also unveiled the launch of THXPACE, established by the zone and the CAS Aerospace Information Research Institute, and release of three applications of geological information.
A total of 27 projects led by THXPACE entered the agreement to land in Changzhou including 15 science and education projects together with Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Renmin University of China and other universities. The other 12 projects involve new infrastructure, smart city, insurance and risk control.
In recent years, Changzhou has seized the opportunities of new infrastructure initiative and introduce promising projects in 5G network, Big Data, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and smart city. The city has made progress in digital economy on three fronts - transportation, energy, and information.
The CAS Aerospace Information Research Institute decided to develop a unique project with high added value in Changzhou in last year, which has played an important role in key projects such as the dredging of the Xinmeng River.
