Jiangsu Province celebrated the 15th China Tourism Day on May 19 with a key event held in Huai'an City, jointly organized by the province's Department of Culture and Tourism and Huai'an Municipal People's Government.

The event highlighted the unique regional characteristics of Jiangsu’s 13 cities, featuring a wide range of cultural and tourism initiatives.

Jiangsu has introduced specific programs to enhance the visitor experience. For instance, the scenic spots, hotels, B&Bs and tourism businesses in Suzhou has facilitated a cycling-themed initiative. In Nanjing, tourists can enjoy ticket discounts at designated attractions by presenting eligible train or flight tickets. Other cities have extended opening hours at cultural venues, and hosted diverse shows and exhibitions in rural communities.

To attract international tourists, Jiangsu has continued to improve services in fields such as transportation and payment. Over the past two years, the province has experienced an increase in inbound tourism thanks to the implementation of visa-free entry policies.
