Wuxi National Hi-Tech District and CSC Technology signed an agreement on October 21 to develop the Future S&T Park, which will serve as China’s first pilot project of building a mini-city development at the international standard.
The project, with a total investment of 700 million yuan, will cover a land area of 38.7 mu (2.58 hectares). In cooperation with China’s top teams of smart city initiative, the project will make the extensive application of Big Data and build a digital twin, a virtual model of the physical development, to facilitate interactions among people and objects in the real and virtual world.
The project will help the high-tech zone promote the development of science and technology park, steer toward innovation-driven growth, and introduce a cluster of companies in smart city programs so the zone can make better and faster economic and social development.
