The first Wuxi Internet Conference and the city’s Cybersecurity Week opened on September 16.
Themed "new infrastructure, new interconnection, and new driver of growth," the conference aimed to accelerate the implementation of new development ideas, stimulate the innovation in the Internet industry, and improve the city’s application of the Internet technologies.
The conference was held as Wuxi announced a five-year plan earlier this month to develop an S&T innovation belt along the Taihu Lake. As the city’s flagship project, the innovation belt will become a vibrant hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, and a pioneer of livable urban development.
This week also marks the 2020 China Cybersecurity Week, a campaign to promote public awareness of cybersecurity. Wuxi has used the chance to introduce knowledge and skills of cybersecurity to the public and stay vigilant to the virtual world.
