The 2020 Wuxi Technological Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (TIEC), launched on July 8 concurrently with the 6th South Jiangsu Global Makers Contest, sets up 43 awards worth of 1.95 million yuan.

TIEC will focus on seven strategic sectors - new generation of information technology, biology, high-end manufacturing, new materials, new energy, new energy vehicles, and energy-saving and environment protection.

Along with policy support from the government, local authorities will pitch start-up ideas to investors and support banks to grant credit support.

The award-winning teams or individuals, once found eligible, will be given priority of recommendation for Taihu Lake Talents Program next year.
