The National Cultural Export Base in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province hosted a virtual fair on August 26 to facilitate cultural trade across borders.
With the application of modern network technology and big data, the event coordinated networking and negotiations both online and offline. More than 30 traders from over 20 countries including Germany, Russia, France and Australia participated in the online meeting.
With nearly 100 cultural enterprises to participate, the event also witnessed the launch of an online cultural trade service platform, which aims to be a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce hub with abundant information of all kinds of cultural products and services. The platform will be an important initiative to support the city’s National Cultural Export Base.
Wuxi has the only National Cultural Export Base in Jiangsu Province. In 2019, the city’s total foreign trade volume of cultural products and services reached 8.6 billion yuan, and received 100 million inbound tourists with a total tourism revenue of 210 billion yuan.
