Jiangsu’s foreign trade with France increased by 1% to 10.56 billion yuan in the first two months of this year, accounting for 1.4% of the province's total, according to Nanjing Customs.

Breaking it down, the province’s imports from the European country reached 2.87 billion yuan, up 17.2%, while exports amounted to 7.69 billion yuan, down 4%.

Measures such as policy introduction and customs declaration planning helped companies reduce operation cost.

Jiangsu Hemei Home Furnishing Co Ltd has recently obtained a phytosanitary certificate issued by Jiangyin Customs for its 757 tatami mats to be exported to France, which had a market value of $27,000.

Xuzhou Customs provided active support to Farraway International Trade Co Ltd in importing French wine, which totaled about 10 million yuan in the first quarter of this year. The company achieved sales of 200,000 yuan through its cross-border e-commerce platform, Shadongdong.
