Giro d'Italia Ride Like a Pro, one of the three most prestigious road cycling races in the world, will make its third appearance in the Yangtze River Delta region's ecological development demonstration zone on May 20 and 21.

The race started in 1909 and is celebrating its 106th edition this year. The exciting cycling event first made its debut in the demonstration zone in 2019 when the zone was designated to pilot eco-friendly growth amid the delta’s integration.

The zone includes Qingpu district of Shanghai, Wujiang district of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province and Jiashan County of Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. The area covers around 2,300 square kilometers.

The upcoming race is also an opportunity to showcase the vibrant and dynamic development in Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan, such as the beautiful scenery along the route and the cultural heritage.

The race event includes several programs for different riders. Cycling enthusiasts can apply for the event from April 4 in many ways, such as through a WeChat public account "RideLikeAPro", official website www.giroridelikeapro.cn and app "Mala Mala".

As part of the race, a wide range of activities such as a food market and performances will also be held.
