Jiangsu had 15 biotech industrial parks on the list of China’s top 50 performers, four more than in last year, according to a report published by China National Center for Biotechnology Development in Suzhou City.
Jiangsu has maintained the first place among province-level regions on the list for four years in a row. Eight parks made to the top 20 while Suzhou Industrial Park took second place in terms of overall competitiveness, one place higher than in last year. It ranked first in categories of industry and human resources competitiveness, and also rose to the top 10 in terms of environment, technology and industry-leading companies.
In addition, the Kunshan High-tech Zone, Changzhou West Taihu Science and Technology Industrial Park and Lianyungang High-tech Zone climbed higher in the ranking. Five industrial parks including Wuxi Huishan Life Science Park and Nanjing Biomedical Valley made it to the list for the first time.
