There will be 1,222 passenger trains running across the Yangtze River Delta, including 501 through the Nanjing Railway Station.
Under the new plan, Jiangsu has added four direct bullet train services to Beijing, which depart from Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong and Zhangjiagang. This also means all 13 cities with subordinate districts in Jiangsu are now directly linked with the country’s capital by the high-speed trains.
As Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang and Yancheng-Nantong high-speed railways have opened, several cities in central and northern Jiangsu will see a significant rise of bullet trains, which reach 171 in Lianyungang and 132 in Yancheng. This will certainly improve the travelling choices and experiences from these cities.
