Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Committee, visited Wuxi City on March 5 to inspect efforts to both prevent and control the COVID-19 outbreak and also resume work and production.

He said it is necessary to coordinate the epidemic work and economic and social development with more organized, pragmatic measures, give full play to the role of enterprises and entrepreneurs, join hands to address real issues on the ground, accelerate the return to full production capacity, and make up for lost time.

Lou paid a visit to Wuxi-based companies including SK Hynix Semiconductor, Wuxi Little Swan and CHISON Medical Technologies, NCAP China and Maxscend Technologies.

He hoped enterprises can continue to make innovative products and strengthen advanced technology research and development. He also urged relevant governmental departments to take the initiative in providing services so new products can be approved for epidemic prevention as soon as they meet standards.

Lou also emphasized that efforts are needed to support the development of private enterprises, pay more attention to concerns of small and medium-sized enterprises, and implement incentive policies rolled out by the state and the province.

It’s also necessary to accelerate the construction and promotion of major projects, meet new types of consumption demands during the prevention and control of the epidemic, and minimize the impact of the epidemic.

Jiangsu will boost entrepreneurial creativity, encourage the private investment, give full play to the role of entrepreneurs in resuming production capacity, and stimulate the economic development with a solid foundation, said Lou.
