China won gold medal in the Team Technical event at the artistic swimming of the 19th FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary on the evening of June 21.

Eight members helped China win this event for the first time, including Wang Ciyue from East China’s Jiangsu Province. 

Born in the province’s capital city of Nanjing in 1999, Wang currently studies at the Nanjing Sports Institute. Because of her great physical conditions, flexibility and explosive strength, she was selected to receive training in artistic swimming by the sports school in Xuanwu District, Nanjing in September 2005. She joined the Jiangsu Youth Sports School in 2012 and became a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Artistic Swimming Team in 2015. A member of a gold-winning team in the 13th National Games of China in 2017, she joined the national team in 2018 and won first place in team events during the national artistic swimming championships in 2019 and 2020.
