Jiangsu had built 187,000 5G base stations by the end of last December with 36.908 million 5G mobile users, according to Jiangsu Communications Administration on January 30. 

The 5G data traffic accounted for 33.3% of the total mobile network in the coastal province last year.  

Jiangsu took the national lead in digital infrastructure construction, ranking second nationwide in terms of the number of base stations for 4G, 5G and mobile network. In addition, the province made steady progress in expanding the fiber optic network. The number of 5G terminal connections reached more than 50.81 million, 48.1% of the total mobile users.
