Under the baton of famous conductor Cheng Ye, the symphony orchestra of Jiangsu Performing Arts Group held the first concert at Jiangsu Center for the Performing Arts on the night of June 14 as the COVID-19 pandemic eases.

The concert paid tribute to the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth and also kicked off a feast of events to celebrate the milestone. The concert played Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, by Beethoven, popularly known as the Emperor Concerto. The 360 tickets for the performance were sold out in two days.

Since last year, the orchestra has been planning for this music performance season in honor of one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time. The symphony orchestra will also live stream the performance on video-sharing website bilibili.com and NetEase Cloud Music, a music streaming service developed and owned by NetEase.
