Yu Shouan from Yancheng Technician College Jiangsu Province won the gold medal in the electrical installation category during the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, which closed in Salzburg, Austria on Nov. 27.
The competition included seven fields, namely bricklaying, chemical laboratory technology, concrete construction work, electrical installations, freight forwarding, heavy vehicle technology and industrial control. Participants from 24 countries and regions competed in electrical installations, governed by changed rules this year.

In the competition, Yu pursued the perfection, paid close attention to details, and managed to ensure quality and speed to finally get the highest score.
This is also the first gold medal for the college in the international competition, a celebration of excellence and a unique opportunity to share knowledge.
Yu, born in October 2001, won the electrical installation event at the first vocational skills competition in China in 2020.
WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition included 62 skill competitions held in 15 countries and regions between September and November.
