A vessel loaded with 390,900 tonnes of iron ore arrived at berth No. 88 at Lianyungang Port at 11:00 a.m. on December 19, marking the first arrival of such a large bulk carrier in Jiangsu Province and a new milestone for the port.
The vessel measures 362 meters long and has a draught of 22.9 meters. All the vessel’s iron ore will be unloaded at the port.
The 400,000-tonne terminal is currently one of the world's largest and plays an important role in enhancing the port’s cargo handling capacity and facilitating imports for companies across the Yangtze River Delta.
