Jiangsu has sent off the first export, picture frame materials worth $54,900, through its China-Europe freight train service that have benefited from the swift customs clearance procedures.
Following the supervision of the Xuzhou Customs House of Nanjing Customs District, the freight train will reach Kazakhstan via Horgos Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The new customs clearance model means customs house, freight train operators, and exporters cooperate more closely to share data and significantly speed up the approval process without isolated, time-consuming steps.
The model provides a new option for foreign trade through freight trains, improve the efficiency, and enable the international transport route to play an important role.
Meng Xinyun, head of operation department at Xuzhou Huaihai International Inland Port Operation Co Ltd, said efforts will be made to improve service and increase the number of China-Europe freight train trips departing from the city through the swift customs clearance procedures.
