The consumer spending during the New Year holiday reached 7.85 billion yuan in Jiangsu, a year-on-year growth of 8.4%, according to the province’s data of key retail enterprises.
The 3-day holiday saw a stable, orderly consumer market with an adequate supply of daily necessities.
The province’s 13 cities that have subordinate districts hosted promotion activities under the "Jiangsu New Consumption - Winter Shopping Festival" initiative to stimulate consumption. Industry-leading platforms and main companies also unveiled new products, improved shopping experiences, and offered great deals in the campaign.
