All 13 cities with subordinate districts in East China’s Jiangsu Province have unveiled a new government body for rural revitalization.

In February, China established the National Administration of Rural Revitalization, replacing an agency that has supercharged poverty relief programs after the yearslong poverty battle had ended in complete victory.

Then the plaque of the Jiangsu Administration of Rural Revitalization was unveiled on May 31, replacing the province’s former office in charge of poverty relief programs. The new administration will be mainly responsible for consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and promoting the implementation of rural revitalization strategy across the province.

Xuzhou became the first city in Jiangsu to unveil its administration of rural revitalization, and Nanjing was the last to establish the government body on August 30.

The administration at the local levels have been launched in 85 counties, county-level cities and districts in the 13 cities.
