Jiangsu’s business sentiment up for three quarters in a row

The Business Climate Index and Entrepreneur Expectation Index in Jiangsu Province in the fourth quarter of 2020 reached 127.8 and 129.1, both up 5.0 and 5.4 percentages than a year ago respectively, according to the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Statistics on February 18.

Following declines due to the massive COVID-19 disruption in the first quarter of 2020, the two indicators of economic activity maintained an upbeat trend for three quarters in a row, showing the rising confidence of the business communities, resilience and market vitality. The province’s effective pandemic response and relief measures have helped enterprises get back on track and recover at an accelerated pace.
