The department supported the operation of catering, accommodation, superstores and other enterprises in the retail sector during the holiday. Data showed that 91 closely-watched enterprises achieved combined sales of 1.93 billion yuan, an increase nearly 20% compared to 2019.
The box office takings in Jiangsu topped 770 million yuan, 11.3% of the country’s total during the period, when cinemas in the province recorded 15.18 million moviegoers.
Analysis of the data also revealed consumer’s rising demands for convenience, higher quality, and more personalized shopping experience. Along with the rapid development of the mobile internet, people now enjoy diverse shopping channels so this also means retails need to integrate their efforts across platforms.
