Yangzhou’s woodblock printing master pays tribute to Grand Canal

Li Jiangmin, honored as a representative inheritor of traditional woodblock printing, and his son Li Huajun have cooperated to create a 2-meter-long work that brings to life the heritage of the Grand Canal in Yangzhou.

It features the stunning scenery of the canal and landmarks recognized as the UNESCO world cultural heritage, such as the Slender West Lake.

“Grand Canal means so much to the stories and legends for Yangzhou, and as a Yangzhou native and also working in the city’s unique woodblock printing sector, we make the creation to express our love for the canal," said senior Li.
