Governments at all levels in Jiangsu Province have launched a series of measures to continue the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and also resume work and operation.
Thanks to these efforts, 84.5 percent of restaurants in Jiangsu had reopened by March 24, higher than the national level of 79 percent, according to Meituan Dianping, a leading O2O (online-to-offline) local life service platform.
After Jiangsu downgraded the emergency response toward the outbreak from Level 1 to Level 2, the catering industry is in the process of resuming operation fully and in an orderly manner. Local governments have also introduced supportive policies, with specific guidelines now released in Nanjing, Suzhou, Yancheng, Nantong, Yangzhou, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Wuxi and Suqian.
