A plane carrying Jiangsu medical professionals sent to combat the COVID-19 outbreak in Hubei Province on February 2 arrived at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport on April 12.

The 137 passengers also included experts, those in charge of management of Jiangsu teams, and members of the third assistance team from the province.

The third team, mainly composed of intensive care specialists, is the last to leave the epidemic-hit province. They are from nine hospitals under the administration of the health commission and another 23 hospitals from the 10 cities in Jiangsu.

During 70 days in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei, the team treated 86 severe and critically ill patients and offered trainings for 6,700 people. They first worked on the frontline at the Sino-French New Town Branch of the Tongji Hospital and then on March 30 took charge of the ICU-A section at Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital.
