The Photonics Asia 2021, an international forum for new developments in advanced optics and photonics technologies, opened in Nantong City of Jiangsu Province on October 10.
The event was co-organized by the Chinese Optical Society (COS) and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE).
COS vice presidents Lu Ruxin and Jia Suotang attended the event together with over 800 participants including experts and leaders from Sunny Optical Technology, ZTT, TFME and other industry leaders.
Professor David L. Andrews at the University of East Anglia, president of SPIE, delivered a speech via the video link.
Li, also an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Secretary of the Party Committee of ShanghaiTech University, said the event has been held in China for over ten years since 2001, providing an important exchange platform for outstanding optical scientists worldwide.
Focusing on 17 topics, the Photonics Asia 2021 consisted of events on-site and online in the form of technical conferences, presentations of technical papers, posters, and invited talks and special events, including social and networking opportunities.
