The 3rd International Forum on Water Security and Sustainability took places in Nanjing on the morning of April 22.
The event was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Three Gorges Corporation, Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission (Yangtze River Office), in cooperation with organizers included the Yangtze River Protection and Green Development Institute, Hohai University and Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute.
The conference that combines online and on-site events has attracted over 1,000 participants from research institutes, universities, enterprises and organizations in over ten countries Including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Switzerland.
The three-day event will focus on four themes - integrated watershed management, climate change and risks, water ecosystem and engineering, and water resources conservation and use.
The event aims to help solve the most pressing water issues through open and efficient exchanges among experts, scientists, policy makers and practitioners in the field of water science.
