The third Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, held from September 22 to 25 in Suzhou City, received over 136,000 in-person visits and 270 million online views.

As one of the largest exhibition events in Jiangsu since the COVID-19 outbreak, it hosted more exhibitors and diversified projects, with the participation of Beijing and all other seven provinces along the ancient waterway system as well as those invited from Xiong’an, Lhasa, Ili Kazak and Kezilesu Kirgiz autonomous prefectures.
In order to accelerate the recovery of cultural tourism, the expo gave top priority to market players by organizing 760 shows, 64 promotions and 791 interactive events, which led to on-site sales exceeding 10 million yuan. It also saw the signing of 783 agreements, the launch of nine cooperative initiatives, and the rollout of three key investment projects, which are expected to stimulate cultural tourism and consumption.
The expo also served as a lively platform for international exchanges by inviting many foreign institutions and enterprises in China. Efforts were made to advance Jiangsu’s cultural exchange and cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road initiative.
Among the events held during the expo was the 3rd Suzhou Jiangnan Culture and Art - International Tourism Festival.
