Eastern Airports Group has seen a significant recovery of domestic passenger traffic and a steady resumption of cargo volume at its airports in Jiangsu Province.
In the last ten days of July, the group’s seven airports recorded a daily average of 820 passenger flights, an increase of 135 flights compared with the beginning of the month. The number of domestic air passengers per day reached 93,000, also a sharp increase over early July.
Nanjing Lukou International Airport has resumed regular international and regional passenger routes to Milan, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Hanoi, Jakarta, Macao and Hong Kong. It has also opened all-cargo routes to Amsterdam, Chicago and Osaka.
Changzhou airport's average daily passenger traffic exceeded 10,000 in July, already exceeding the level in the same period in 2019, and the airport has also resumed flights to Macao. Airports in Xuzhou and Lianyungang are also gradually bringing back flights to tourist destinations.
