Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu, met a delegation led by Zheng Xuexuan, Chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and Zhang Zhaoxiang, the group’s General Manager, in Nanjing on August 10.
Wu said the visit by CSCEC will further promote the cooperation between the two sides and mark a starting point to achieve new progress. He said Jiangsu is in full swing to build a new development pattern, promote high-quality development, and coordinate epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development. In ensuring both development and security, the province will actively expand effective investment, adopt a proactive approach to the development of transport, energy, water conservancy, environment protection and new types of infrastructure, advance urban regeneration projects, and strengthen the economic recovery momentum.
Wu also said Jiangsu is a large economic powerhouse and the construction industry has remained the largest in the country for many years. He hailed CSCEC as a strong group and a global leader in the construction industry.
Jiangsu will continue efforts to build a market-oriented, internationalized business environment based on the rule of law, according to Wu. He hoped that both sides can deepen cooperation to build modern infrastructure, promote green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the construction industry, and support the stable and healthy development of the real estate market.
In the meeting, Zheng and Zhang both said that Jiangsu is a strategic region for the company’s development as the province has a superior location, a great momentum of high-quality development and excellent business environment. They also pledged that CSCEC will be committed to development in Jiangsu and support for the province’s high-quality economic and social development.
