Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu, met a delegation led by Sun Yongcai, chairman of China's leading train maker CRRC Corporation Ltd. (CRRC), in Nanjing on August 8.
Wu and Xu expressed appreciation for CRRC’s contribution to the development of the coastal province over the years.
Wu said Jiangsu is in full swing to build a new development pattern, promote high-quality development, and efficiently coordinate COVID-19 response and economic and social development. The province also integrates development and security goals and aims to boost steady economic recovery.
The equipment manufacturing industry plays a key role in the country, and CRRC takes the lead in its size and technology, particularly the Fuxing bullet trains known as setting the bar of China’s manufacturing sector and representing the country’s development accomplishment.
As a large economic and manufacturing province, Jiangsu has the advantage of a large market. Based on the long-term partnership and fruitful results achieved, the province hopes to deepen cooperation with CRRC in various fields, such as rail equipment, new energy, and ecological and environmental protection. Such cooperation is expected to advance the industrial base and modernize the industrial chain.
Recognizing the province’s strong support to CRRC’s development, Sun said the group focuses on rail transit equipment and aims to be a world-class high-end manufacturer and system solution provider.
Calling Jiangsu an important destination for CRRC’s development, Sun said he hopes to work together with Jiangsu and help the province to be a frontrunner of high-quality development.
