A total of 132 athletes in nine teams participated in the youth sailing competition at the 20th Jiangsu Provincial Games on August 6, held in Gucheng Lake in Nanjing's Gaochun District.

The 20th Jiangsu Provincial Games is the largest sporting event held in the coastal province and this is also the first time for Gaochun to host such a large-scale event.
Gucheng Lake also hosted the Nanjing Open Sailing in October 2021. It has a water area of about 31 square kilometers, an ideal venue for sailing competitions.
