The 2024 Aerospace Information Conference, along with the Geovis Earth Ecological Summit, took place in Wuxi Economic Development Zone on July 8.

At the conference, the development zone signed an agreement with Geovis Technology to establish China’s first project covering the entire industrial chain of aerospace information.

The 3-billion-yuan investment project includes a satellite factory, a space data platform, a constellation of commercial satellites, a new type of R&D institution, and a national-level training and application center focused on aerospace information. The initiative integrates every aspect of aerospace information industry, including satellite manufacturing, satellite constellation operation, data services, and value-added services.

A key player in Wuxi’s innovation-driven growth strategy, the development zone has decided to advance the aerospace information industry to foster new quality productive forces. The zone has also established a 1 billion yuan fund to support the emerging fields and drafted a 3-year action plan to further boost the development of equipment for deep sea applications, commercial aerospace, and the low-altitude economy.
