Jiangsu enterprises have taken the advantage of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), which came into effect on January 1 this year, to tap into the international markets.
From January to August, Nanjing Customs issued 52,900 RCEP certificates of origin for enterprises, involving exports worth 19.7 billion yuan, with reduced tariffs of 158 million yuan.
In the same period, Jiangsu’s enterprises imported goods worth 7.7 billion yuan from RCEP members and had tariffs cut totaling 121 million yuan.
Wuxi Customs House under Nanjing Customs District also developed its own RCEP analysis system to help companies better enjoy reduced tariffs under the RCEP agreement in a timely manner.
