Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), China's leading construction machinery manufacturer, opened the country’s largest intelligent base for manufacturing road maintenance machinery in Xuzhou Economic Development Zone on September 16.
The base of 180 mu (12 hectares) has 300 sets of advanced equipment and intelligent crane, and four automated assembly and painting lines. The base can produce 1500 road maintenance machines a year with an annual output value of 1.85 billion yuan, the largest of its kind in China.
Seeing road maintenance machinery a core business direction, the group had made the extensive use of technologies and innovative practices, such as 5G, Internet of Things, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, at the base amid the group’s ongoing efforts of digital transformation.
The opening ceremony also marked the delivery of the group’s 1000th asphalt plant and the rollout of the world’s largest asphalt mixer equipment.
