The China-Europe freight trains departing from Xuzhou City made most trips in August in Jiangsu Province.
The city saw 59 trips to international destinations, up 12.7% than in July, and 47 return trips, up 38%. On August 4, the first train loaded with home appliances left for Belarus. A freight train for cross-border e-commerce debuted on August 25. From July to August, the city welcomed back several freight trains carrying clothes dryer imported from Poland.
During the first eight months this year, Xuzhou reported 231 freight train trips that involved a total foreign trade of $290 million, a year-on-year growth of 52.6%.
