East China’s Jiangsu Province has sent a strong team to participate in the second China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair, which runs from June 8 to 11 in Ningbo City.

With a total area of 200,000 square meters, the expo will include 20 events covering economy, trade, science and technology, and health.

According to the provincial Department of Commerce, Jiangsu has 75 approved purchasers and also 100 individuals including wholesalers and import agents for the event. The buying demand was mainly focused on food and beverage, cosmetics and personal care products, wines and everyday household items.

The fair had 27 purchasers from the United States, Italy, Thailand, Nigeria, Uzbekistan and other countries to attend the event. Claudio Vandelli from Italy said he has been in the business procurement sector for over 20 years and he looks forward to meeting more partners in exporting quality products made in China to the Italian and European markets.

Jiangsu has close economic and trade cooperation with Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs). Data showed the province’s foreign trade with CEECs increased by 9% year on year since 2012, and it reached $13.7 billion in 2020, accounting for 13% of China’s total trade with CEECs.
