The Jiangsu Nanjing National agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone hosted 13 new projects in a collective agreement signing ceremony held in the Baima International Agricultural Exhibition Center on August 18.

With a total investment of about 5 billion yuan, the 13 projects include the new campus and the agricultural start-up hub of the Nanjing Forestry University, Alibaba’s Digital Village scheme, smart greenhouse of KG Systems and agricultural equipment manufacturing. These projects feature a combination of technology innovation, industrial development, and investment fund.

In 2019, the State Council approved upgrading the Nanjing Baima national agricultural technology park into the Jiangsu Nanjing National agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone. The zone will grow into an area for demonstrating international cooperation in agricultural technologies, and pioneering agricultural technology innovations in the Yangtze River Delta.
