Qingjiangpu District in Huai’an City signed an agreement with China Agriculture United Holdings to host its headquarters for the international food and agricultural products trade in eastern China.
Hong Yu, chairman of China Agriculture United Holdings and Cai Lixin, secretary of the CPC Huai’an Committee, made speeches in the signing ceremony held online.
Cai said the project is a perfect combination of high-quality resources and competitive platform and she hopes the project can break ground early and start operation as soon as possible. The cooperation will help Huai’an to build a reputation as a national supply hub of agricultural and sideline products.
The project will cover an area of about 654.3 mu (43.6 hectares) and involves investment about 5 billion yuan. Effectively connecting the domestic and foreign markets, it is also expected to become a role model of agricultural industry with an impact in northern Jiangsu as well as the country.
