Jiangsu’s 81 athletes participating in the 19th Asian Games have won 30 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals.
They excelled in track and field, swimming, rugby and basketball at the games held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, which concluded on October 8.
China's track and field team won more than 15 gold medals, five of which were contributed by athletes from Jiangsu.
The provincial team had an average age of 25 and young athletes performed exceptionally well. For example, Zuo Tong, 17, is the youngest Jiangsu athlete at the Hangzhou Asian Games. She won the women's all-around gymnastics title with a score of 53.565 points. Additionally, 18-year-old Sheng Lihao set a new world record with 253.3 points in the men's 10m air rifle.
